In a bid to shake off the winter blues, my family and I embarked on a holiday to the shores of Lanzarote. Nestled amidst the Canary Islands, this volcanic paradise promised warmth, adventure, and a welcome respite from the chilly weather back home.

We took a scenic hike up to the Barbara Paton memorial near Playa Blanca. The hike was a steady climb over loose rock and upon reaching the memorial, we were greeted with a breath-taking view of the surrounding landscapes and the vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean stretching out before us.
