December 2023
In December 2023, Rome beckoned me on a solo Christmas journey, promising a tapestry of ancient marvels and warm camaraderie. Amidst the cosy confines of a hostel, I bonded with fellow travellers, sharing stories and laughter that enriched my adventure.
Exploring Rome’s cobblestone streets in the crisp winter air, I trekked the tranquil banks of the Tiber and marvelled at the grandeur of the Vatican and Castel Sant’Angelo.
The following day brought further exploration, from the iconic Trevi Fountain to the historic Roman Forum and the serene Basilica Papale di Santa Maria Maggiore. Each sight filled me with awe and wonder.
Amidst my adventures, I indulged in the delights of Italian cuisine, enjoying aromatic coffee and comforting pasta.
I spent a lot of time reading in amazingly scenic places, Finishing one book in the shadow of the Colosseum and another sat on the Spanish Steps!
