A Few Days in Stockholm After My Work Conference
After wrapping up a work conference, I took the opportunity to explore the beautiful city of Stockholm. Armed with my camera, I spent a few days enjoying the city’s charm.

One of my first stops was Gamla Stan, the Old Town. The narrow, colourful streets were like stepping back in time. I managed to capture some lovely shots of the alleyways, framed with classic lamps and quaint windows. The vibrant ochre and pale blues of the buildings stood out beautifully under the morning light.
The next day, I jumped on the vintage tram. It was a perfect way to tour the city. I snapped a couple of pictures, including one of the driver leaning out of the window as we passed through the bustling streets. The retro look of the tram, especially against the backdrop of modern Stockholm, really gave me a sense of how the city blends the old and new.
My time at Skansen, the open-air museum, was an absolute highlight. There was a market on, complete with historical reenactors, which added an extra level of atmosphere to the place. I spent some time exploring the animal enclosures, where I was lucky enough to see Nordic animals like bears, Arctic foxes, and reindeer. Skansen really captures Sweden’s natural and cultural heritage, and I got some brilliant photos of the animals in action.
Stockholm isn’t just about sightseeing though. I enjoyed some fantastic food and got a taste of the local nightlife too! I even made a stop at the Vasa Museum, which houses the incredible 17th-century shipwreck of the Vasa. It’s a must-see for anyone visiting Stockholm.
Overall, my camera was rarely out of my hands as I roamed around this beautiful city. Each corner of Stockholm seemed to offer something unique to capture.
