During my visit to Cannon Hall Farm, from Springtime on the Farm, I had the chance to capture some incredible moments.
The farm was buzzing with activity as the crew set up to film Winter on the Farm. It was surreal seeing the behind-the-scenes action unfold while exploring the charming farm.
The meerkats were a delight—so full of personality, constantly scurrying and standing on their hind legs, surveying their surroundings like little sentinels. The ferrets stole the show, though. We got to watch them race through clear tubes, Even though they didn’t move at great speed it was still very fun to cheer them on!
I also ventured into the mammal house, a fascinating space filled with rodents of all sizes—from tiny pygmy mice to the massive giant cloud rats. Unfortunately, their nocturnal habits made photography tricky; my attempts at snapping a decent shot were foiled by dim lighting and quick movements. Still, it was incredible just to observe them.
Cannon Hall Farm is a real playground, offering endless opportunities to experiment with capturing animals and the charm of farm life.
